Forty years I have made them on paper. Greeting cards & commercial printing, starting in 1984 — that’s right, kids, forty years. A family business. A card a client keeps on the wall two years later. An invitation somebody saves in a drawer. The whole job was helping people say something that lands.

Then Jody & I started counting. Thirty-plus bands. A hundred and fifty-plus events. In a year and a half. Every single one of them in somebody else’s room.

Turns out we had been doing market research on Friday nights without knowing it.

So — same calling, new medium. On paper, then in ink, and now in a room. Live music, real food, a bar you can actually hear yourself at… and a Saturday night people are still talking about on Monday morning.

This building has been feeding & entertaining Chester County since 2013 — first as 30 Main, then as Midtown Social. Thirteen years of birthdays, first dates, mitzvahs, banquets and nights that ran long. We are not erasing that. We are the next chapter of it.

A neighborhood remembers a name before it remembers a logo. So we took the address. The other name on this building is the mural on the Main Avenue wall, and that one was not ours to take.

We make memorable moments. It is what we have always done. The medium just keeps changing.

What is 660 LIVE?

A live-music gastropub and private event venue at 660 E Lancaster Avenue in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, on Philadelphia's Main Line. Downstairs is a bar with a full kitchen, pool tables, a dance floor and hundred-inch screens for the game. Upstairs, The Loft at 660 holds up to 250 for shows and private events, and both floors together take up to 500. One building, two floors, three revenue lines — and it has been on this corner since 2013.

Is 660 LIVE the same place as Midtown Social?

Yes. Same building, same corner, same phone. It opened as 30 Main in 2013, became Midtown Social in 2023, and becomes 660 LIVE — the address on the door — on New Year's Eve. We are not affiliated with any other business using "660" or "Midtown" in its name, anywhere. One location, no others. The whole history.

Where exactly are you? Is Berwyn on the Main Line?

660 E Lancaster Avenue, Berwyn, PA 19312 — Easttown Township, Chester County, in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District. And yes, Berwyn is squarely on the Main Line: the string of towns that grew up along the Pennsylvania Railroad's main line west out of Philadelphia — Overbrook, Merion, Narberth, Wynnewood, Ardmore, Haverford, Bryn Mawr, Rosemont, Villanova, Radnor, St. Davids, Wayne, Strafford, Berwyn, Daylesford, Paoli and Malvern. Berwyn station sits directly across Lancaster Avenue from our front door, on what is now SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale line. We are about as literally on the Main Line as a building can be.

What is around you?

Berwyn sits in eastern Chester County, where it meets Delaware and Montgomery. Inside twenty minutes: Devon, Strafford, Wayne, Paoli, Malvern, Chesterbrook, Radnor, Villanova, King of Prussia & Valley Forge. A little further out: Bryn Mawr, Ardmore, Haverford, Newtown Square, Phoenixville, Norristown, Conshohocken, Media, Exton, West Chester & Downingtown. Philadelphia is about half an hour east on Lancaster Avenue or a straight run in on the train.

Is the mural on Main Avenue yours?

It is on the side of our building, yes — though it belongs to Berwyn now. It celebrates music, dancing and community life, and was created by the DiDomenico family in memory of their father, who served ten years as president of the Berwyn business association, with Stacy Ballard and EADEH. Free, outdoors, photographed constantly. The dedication is Saturday, September 26. The mural.

Usually, yes — servers, bartenders, barbacks, hosts, line cooks, prep, and banquet staff for events. Applications year-round even when nothing is posted. Careers, or come in Tuesday through Thursday between four and six and ask for a manager.
