660 Live Rules

General Rules & Procedure

  • Front of track racing.
  • Water burnout only.
  • Instant green tree with auto start off.
  • All entries required to have a roll cage and helmet no matter the ET capability.
  • All drivers responsible for proper cage and safety equipment for the capability of their vehicle.
  • The only competition fowls will be, red lighting, crossing or touching the center line, or startup timeout.   If both competitors foul, first is worse and will result in the loss.
  • A single chip draw will be held before the start of the race and a complete pro-ladder will be drawn up. Lane is determined by high chip = right lane 1st round,  high chip = left lane second round,  alternating each round.  Whenever there is more than 16 cars in a class, the cars may be divided into 2 ladders with each ladder's winner meeting in the finals.  Ladders will be posted at the tower and the light pole where the scales are normally set up.
  • Negotiated starts allowed. Racers may set out their opponent by giving the back tire and/or agree to go on their leave. KOTS Starter must be informed before staging.
  • Racers are not guaranteed to hear the call to the scales or lanes.  It is the racers responsibility to check.
  • If a racer has a failure to start or other problem, they will be given 1 minute to resolve the problem. After the 1 minute, they will be disqualified. Once the burnouts are done, racers may stage at their leisure as long as the car is not disabled and not being worked on. If it is, the 1-minute rule applies. The first pair will be sent to the burnout box as soon as it is cleared by the track officials. Each racer must be in or rolling in by the time the pair ahead has turned off the track. Failure to be suited up and strapped in when you are called to pull up will start the 1 minute timer.
