Why Wednesday

Thanksgiving Eve is the busiest night of the year in a bar, and it has nothing to do with the drinking.

It is the one night everybody is back. The people who moved to Denver and Charlotte and Brooklyn are all in their parents' houses by six o'clock, and by nine they have run out of things to say at the kitchen table and somebody suggests going out. Then they walk into a room and find four people they went to school with, who had exactly the same evening.

That is not a promotion. It is just what happens, and it happens here because this is the room on this corner.

No reunion to organize. No invitations. Everybody is already home.

Friday is the recovery

Wednesday is the reunion. Friday is quieter, later and easier — a room to go to when the house is still full of relatives and the leftovers have stopped being interesting.

The red band

Thanksgiving is the third of the five Full Set nights, and red is its color.

One band per guest across both nights, not one per night. It gets you half off an appetizer here through December, and it is one of the five you need in January.

If you are back in town for the holiday and only out one night, Wednesday is the one — the band goes out on both, but Wednesday is the room you came home for.

Bringing a group back together

Wednesday assembles itself, but if you want it to be more than luck, tell us. Twelve people from a graduating class, a family that has grown past one table, the group that does this every year — we will hold you the space rather than making you circle the room looking for each other.

Are you open on Thanksgiving Day?

Thanksgiving Day itself is not a service day. We are open Wednesday the 25th and Friday the 27th.

Do I need a reservation on Wednesday?

Not to get in. But it is the busiest night of the year, so if you want a table rather than a spot at the bar, book it — up to eight online, nine or more through the group form. Reserve.

Is the kitchen open?

Tuesday through Saturday, five to nine. The bar menu carries on after — burgers, salads, bar bites & flatbreads. The whole card.

Can I bring people who are under 21?

With a parent or guardian until ten at night. After ten it is twenty-one and over and we check ID at the door.

How late are you open on Friday?

Two, with last call at one thirty and no admission after midnight. Wednesday runs to midnight, last call at eleven forty-five.
