How we run the room.

A bar is a license and a responsibility before it is anything else. This page is what that means here, written plainly, so nobody has to find out at the door.

Behind the bar

Every bartender who pours a drink here is RAMP certified — Pennsylvania's Responsible Alcohol Management Program, the state's own training in checking ID, spotting trouble early and cutting somebody off without turning it into a scene. So is the general manager, and so is the owner.

It is not a plaque on the wall. It is the difference between a room that stays good all night and a room that goes wrong at half eleven.

We check ID. Twenty-one and over to be served, every time, no exceptions and no arguments — and being asked is not an accusation, it is the job.

It is more than a glance at the door. Staff review every ID, and they are backed by Minor Decliner and AI-assisted verification — the same check on a quiet Tuesday as on a full Saturday. A borrowed license that would get past a tired human at one in the morning does not get past the software, which is the entire point of having it.

Getting home

A dead phone is how people end up driving.

That is not a slogan, it is the actual sequence: the battery goes, the rideshare app goes with it, and somebody decides they are fine to drive because the alternative has become complicated. So we removed the complication.

### Come in — you can both recharge

Complimentary phone charging at the lounge bar. Walk in, plug in, get enough back to call a ride, find your photos or pay for dinner. You do not have to be drinking. You do not have to be eating. You do not have to explain yourself.

Your phone needs ten minutes on the charger — come in, and the two of you can get a quick recharge.

### Money off the ride

Show us proof of a rideshare or transit booking and we will take $5 off for one guest, or $10 for a group of up to four.

It is not complicated and there is no catch. It costs us less than one bad night costs everybody.

### And the train

Berwyn station is directly across Lancaster Avenue, on SEPTA's Paoli/Thorndale line. You can come to a show and go home on a train, which on this stretch almost nobody else can say. Directions & parking.

Getting in, and getting around

The first floor is wheelchair accessible — lounge, event space and restrooms, all on one level. The Loft is second floor with no elevator, though there is a stair-climbing chair and staff trained to use it, arranged in advance.

Allergies & dietary

Tell us at the table or when you book. The kitchen would rather have the conversation than guess. We will work around most things — but this is a working kitchen with shared surfaces, and we will not promise you an allergen-free room, because promising that would be the irresponsible thing to do. Questions

Do you check ID?

Yes, every time. Twenty-one and over to be served. After ten at night it is twenty-one and over to be in the room at all, unless it is a private event.

Are your staff trained?

Can I charge my phone?

Yes, free, at the lounge bar. You do not need to be buying anything. We would rather you left with a charged phone than got into a car because the app would not open.

Do you really give money off a ride home?

Yes. Show proof of a rideshare or transit booking and it comes off the check — $5 for one, $10 for a group of up to four.

Can I bring my own bottle?

No. Not a house preference — a condition of the license.

How late can I get in?

The bar runs to two on Friday and Saturday with last call at one thirty, and the door closes at midnight. Tuesday through Thursday the bar runs to midnight, last call at eleven forty-five, and the food stops at ten.
